Volunteering Opportunities

There are always opportunities to volunteer with the Society.

In addition to the conservation work carried out by the work parties, there are a number of administrative jobs and supporting roles which have to be filled to ensure everything runs smoothly. Also, when we run our open events, extra volunteers are always needed.  So, if you think you would like to help in some way, then please let a committee member know.

 

Work Parties

Our Conservation Officer runs work parties every Thursday afternoon and Saturday morning.

Work is allocated according to age and ability - any help is always welcome!

Corporate Volunteer Days

We are pleased to receive enquiries from any organisation which would like its employees to undertake voluntary work on the reserve.

Such groups have already made a difference by performing a variety of tasks on the reserve.  These have included creating a bog garden, coppicing hazel, restoring a path and building a shelter.

Other Ways To Help

You can donate money to the Society without it costing you a penny!

As a registered charity, Maple Lodge Conservation Society has signed up with the charity fund-raising site, Give As You Live.  If you sign up and shop online via this site, nominating us as your charity of choice, then every purchase you make will generate a donation to the Society.  It won’t cost you a penny and it will raise some extra money for us!
